Comi Polaris Systems Announces New CEO

CHARLOTTE, NC – Comi Polaris Systems (“CPS” or “the company”) proudly announces the appointment of Jessica Astoria, PE, as the new Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1st, 2024. Astoria, an industry veteran with over 20 years of experience in separation technologies, steps into this role following the retirement of Dr. Claudio Carpano. Dr. Carpano, who guided CPS since its inception in 2013, expressed confidence in Astoria’s leadership and the company’s continued success.

Reflecting on his tenure, Dr. Carpano stated, “It has been an extraordinary journey leading Comi Polaris Systems. Astoria is an industry veteran with more than a decade of executive leadership experience and a strong track record of driving growth. She has honed her skills and expertise over the years, holding progressively senior roles, including Vice President of Operations and Vice President of Engineering and Product Development at LCI Corporation. Her dedication and success at each stage of her career culminated in her role as COO at Comi Polaris Systems, where she has been instrumental in driving innovation and ensuring project success.

Since joining the company, Astoria has overseen projects relating to the implementation of innovative separation solutions, particularly with gas purifications through cryogenic technologies. From a sales perspective, she has led the company to a 50% increase in revenue over the past four years. In her new role, Astoria will oversee the full operations of the company.

Astoria’s elevation to the position of CEO marks a pivotal moment for CPS. She now joins the one in four women holding management positions in the manufacturing sector. With her extensive background in the industry and a track record of impactful leadership as the COO, Astoria is poised to propel further the company’s commitment to innovation, quality, and customer service.
